which are the basic ingredients of the beer ?

it is possible to make beer in artisan form?

Just like the Sam Adams commercial says, the basic ingredients in a typical beer are malted grains, hops, water, and yeast. Different beers taste differently because of variations in these ingredients (yes, even the water).

You can also add other things to beers to tweek the flavors. Spices can be added for flavor. Rice and corn can be used to lighten to color while keeping (or increasing) the alcohol content. Things other than hops can be used for various reasons - people used to use heather tips and such for bittering and such in place of hops.

Simply put, beer is fermented, hop flavored, malt sugared, liquid. The basic ingredients of beer are water, malt, hops, and yeast. The major variation in beer is the type of yeast used to ferment the product.

Yes it is easy to make beer at home, lots of people do so. In the old days before a clean water supplies, beer was made at home as a way of ensuring something safe to drink.

Nowadays there has been a return to artisan beer making and micro breweries in pubs are commonplace.

The basic ingredients are water, grain and yeast. There are many companies selling all you need for home beer making.

There is also likely to be a home beer making club or society near you, so it would be worth checking the web or local library for details.

    Cheers
